Vanessa Anne Hudgens is a young actress and singer born December 14, 1988 in Salinas, California. She is most famously known for her role as Gabriella Montez in the hit Disney film High School Musical. Hudgens has one sister, a firefighter father and a mother who works various office jobs.

Vanessa's talent started her off in musical theatre at age 8, by age 10 she had started working in commercials and TV shows, and by age 15 she had started acting. As far as her singing career, Vanessa's first album titled 'V' was released September 26, 2006 and was followed by her second album 'Identified' which debuted in July 1, 2008.

Hudgens is often seen linked arm in arm with her teenage hearthrob boyfriend Zac Efron, whom she confirmed to be dating in 2007. The two met while working together on High School Musical.

Vanessa has also worked for big companies such as Neutrogena, Sears, and Mark Ecko. She's also been involved in numerous charity organizations such as Best Buddies International, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, and the Special Olympics.
